Is there anything to remember, and nothing to tell your parents? Can you still store an old slingshot or a brick from a neighboring building in the attic?

On Friday, in the dungeon of Lviv City Hall (Rynok Square, 1), the City Museum opened the “Laboratory of Childhood”. We have completely re-equipped the premises for the needs of adults who are ready to share their childhood memories. Here visitors can write, draw or record their memories on video, scan childhood photos and create a map of routes of independent city trips they have had when they were children.

There is also a pop-up museum (a mobile museum which anyone can join), for which you can bring your saved childhood items. These can be things that you have collected or used during games, and also “trophies” and “treasures” obtained on small trips around the city. The full list can be found here: https://citymuseum.lviv.ua/add-objects/

Museum staff will process and preserve the collected materials, and the curatorial team will select the most suitable of them for display during the exhibition at the City Museum.

The “Laboratory of Childhood” is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.

The entrance is free.
